is a women-owned and led medical practice committed to providing integrative, patient-centered care across Gynecology and Women’s Health, Regenerative Medicine, Aesthetic Medicine, and Pain Intervention.
We specialize in comprehensive Women’s Health services, including routine gynecologic care, hormonal health, family planning, cancer detection and testing, and advanced in-office procedures—delivered with empathy and clinical excellence.
Our Regenerative Medicine modalities utilize the latest innovations such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), autologous injectables, protein arrays, peptides, and advanced cellular therapies to promote bone and tissue healing, rapid recovery, and long-term vitality.
For patients experiencing chronic or injury-related pain, we offer targeted pain intervention therapies to restore function, reduce discomfort, and improve overall wellness and mobility.

Kate Tuma, MMS, PA-C
Kate was born and raised in Wyoming and is board-certified through the NCCPA. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Medical Technology and Chemistry from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska then completed her Physician Associate and dual Master’s degree in Medical Science in Denver, Colorado in 2013.
Kate began her career in Neurosurgery in Wyoming, where she practiced for three years before transitioning to Family Medicine and Gynecology. In 2018, she relocated to Fairbanks, Alaska, where she continued to expand her scope and expertise in Women’s Health and Procedural Medicine.
She holds a special interest in Gynecology, Procedural Medicine, Regenerative Health, Pain Therapies, and Aesthetic Medicine. Kate is deeply committed to her patients and colleagues and strives to deliver compassionate, holistic, and evidence-based care.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys family time, yoga, running, water sports, skiing, fishing, hunting, cooking and reading.

Lorena graduated from the nursing program at Casper College in 2001 and has spent her entire career working in women’s health. Her favorite part of the job is the relationships that are created with the patients, some of which are now multi-generational. Lorena prioritizes exceptional patient care delivered with kindness and compassion.
Outside of work, Lorena enjoys spending time with her family, early morning bike rides, working in her yard, and doing just about anything in the mountains.

Christie is a dedicated medical biller with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. For the past eight years, she has managed the billing department, where she oversees operations and specializes in advocating for patients by tackling insurance company challenges head-on. Christie takes pride in ensuring every claim is handled with accuracy and persistence, always working hard on behalf of her patients.
Outside of work, Christie enjoys spending time with her doodle dogs, working on puzzles, and sharing life’s adventures with her husband and their three grown sons.

Andrea joined Casper General Surgery in 2020, where she has been an integral part of both the clinical and front-office teams. As a Registered Nurse and Receptionist, she brings a unique combination of medical expertise, organization, and warm, compassionate care to every patient interaction.
Andrea is excited to continue serving the Casper community as part of the Black Mountain Wellness team. She looks forward to helping patients feel welcome, supported, and confident in their care experience.
Outside of work, Andrea enjoys walking, biking, hiking, and spending time in nature. She loves animals—especially dogs—and enjoys going to the movies and dining out with friends and family.
Sherae Hoffman is a licensed esthetician in the states of Wyoming and Colorado. Having lived in Casper for the majority of her life, she is deeply connected to the local community, which has meaningfully influenced the way she approaches both her work and her client relationships. She is passionate about delivering results-driven skincare that remains relaxing, approachable, and tailored to each individual.
Her professional focus centers on helping clients feel confident in their skin through customized treatments, education, and consistency. Sherae strongly believes in skincare maintenance and corrective strategies—prioritizing sustainable, long-term progress over quick fixes. She is committed to helping clients understand their skin, develop routines that align with their lifestyles, and achieve measurable improvements they can genuinely feel good about.
For Sherae, skincare should be personal, realistic, and enjoyable. She believes it should feel empowering rather than overwhelming, creating an experience that builds confidence both inside and out.
As of January 1, 2026, Casper General Surgery will be transitioning to Black Mountain Wellness & Aesthetics — a new chapter built on the incredible foundation that Drs. Lane and Laura Smothers have created over 24 dedicated years of service to the Casper community.
The compassion, integrity, and true excellence of Drs. Lane and Laura Smothers have touched countless lives, and their legacy will forever remain a cornerstone of care in this space. We wish the Smothers a joyful, well-deserved retirement filled with new adventures, travel, rest, and time with loved ones. Your impact will always be remembered with deep gratitude.
